Your first Wigan game?

I remember going to an away game at Dewsbury on the train and my father almost murdering the ticket collector as we flew past the station without stopping. We eventually managed to get a bus back to Dewsbury just in time for kick off, only to find that the game had been called off.

What is your most memorable moment being a Wigan fan?

Being chased through Liverpool city centre by a gang of scallies who took exception to my Wigan shirt was quite memorable. On a more positive note….THAT Offiah try at Wembley.

Who is your favourite all time Wigan player?

King Edwards. He was Simply The Best.

Who is your favourite Wigan player?

I’m developing a real penchant pour Morgan Escare.

Name one player that you would love to see play for Wigan – past or present

Can I build one from bits of players? Offiah’s legs, Tuigamala’s arms, Platt’s torso, Kenny’s head, Gill’s grin and Cowie’s hair. That guy could marry my daughter.

Which opposition player do you fear the most when they play Wigan?

The Cronulla water carrier.

What is your favourite away ground and why?

I loved the Stoop because they had cask ale, a live band after the match and it was easy to get to from my Wiltshire home.

Wigan, Warrington, Catalans, Castleford, Leeds, Saints, Hull and Salford (not necessarily in that order).

If you could change one thing about Rugby League, what would it be?

I’d move the Magic Weekend to Bristol, for purely selfish reasons.

Who do you think will win the Steve Prescott Man of Steel Award this year?

NANANANANANA…….Bateman!
